Hi, I'm Gisela.

I'm Brazilian and I've been dedicated to dog grooming for over 25 years, a profession that started as my job and ended up becoming a huge part of my life.

I started when I was just 21 years old in Brazil. Later, I moved to Spain, where I had my own dog grooming salon in Tarragona. My profession also took me to Italy, where I worked as a groomer, before returning to Spain and continuing my career in different salons.

For the last eight years, I've lived in England, where I have my own salon and where a very special chapter of my career began: the world of dog grooming competitions.

Over these years, I've won numerous awards and recognitions, especially in my greatest passions: Asian Fusion and Creative Grooming. My desire to keep learning even took me to Japan, where I had the opportunity to train with five different specialists in Asian style.

I'm also proud to be an ambassador for Iv San Bernard, an internationally recognized premium Italian brand of professional pet grooming products, and for Kent Blade Works, a British brand specializing in professional scissors, blades, and tools for groomers. These are two brands I trust completely, and their products and tools will be part of my work in Salou as well.

But behind the groomer is also Gisela. ❤️ I'm a mother of four—three boys and a girl—I'm married, and of course, our family wouldn't be complete without dogs: Heidi, my poodle, and Sofía, my Yorkshire Terrier.

Now I'm starting a new chapter that I'm especially excited about: returning to Spain and, particularly, to Salou, a place where I lived for many years before moving to England and which I've always felt is my home.

I want to bring to Salou everything I've learned over these past 25 years: my international experience, ongoing training, competition techniques, and above all, a way of working where each dog receives individual attention, affection, and a service tailored to their needs.

My goal isn't simply to achieve a pretty haircut. I want to care for the skin and coat, respect the well-being of each dog, and offer a professional, specialized, and unique dog grooming experience.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and, especially, your furry friends. 🐾

Meet Grace

From Centre Stage to Canine Style

Hello, I’m Grace, and my journey to opening a new chapter here in beautiful Salou has been anything but ordinary.

Before scissors, styling tables and beautiful dogs became part of my everyday life, my first love was the stage.

I began my professional career in London’s musical theatre world as an actress and singer. Performing gave me a lifelong love of creativity, artistry and attention to detail — qualities that, perhaps surprisingly, would eventually become just as important in my second career.

From London to Canada

My love of music later took me across the Atlantic, where I spent seven wonderful years living in Canada. There, I opened my own singing school, teaching and sharing my passion for music with others. Although life eventually led me in a completely different direction, I never left music behind.I still sing and perform in concerts today, and the stage will always be a part of who I am.

But there was another great love in my life that was about to change everything.

Dogs.

My love of dogs eventually inspired me to make a complete career change and enter the world of professional dog grooming. And I fell in love with it. I discovered that grooming could be so much more than simply cutting a dog’s coat. At its highest level, it combines skill, artistry, balance, creativity and an understanding of the individual dog.

For the past 15 years, I have run my own successful grooming salon in the UK, developing a loyal clientele and a reputation for highly individual, beautifully finished grooms. One of the greatest compliments has been the distances some clients have travelled to bring their dogs to me over the years, I have had clients come from Spain and France — and even as far away as Los Angeles — specifically to have their dogs groomed by me. Knowing that someone is prepared to travel such a distance and trust me with their beloved dog is something I never take for granted.

A Passion for Asian Fusion

Education has always been incredibly important to me. I have continually invested in my craft, learning from some of the world’s leading groomers and travelling internationally to develop my skills. My particular passion is Asian Fusion grooming — a style I adore for its beautiful silhouettes, soft expression and ability to bring out the individual character of each dog.

That passion took me all the way to Malaysia for specialist training, an experience that had a huge influence on my approach to styling.

Beauty With Kindness

I believe truly beautiful grooming begins with trust.

Every dog is different. Some arrive full of confidence; others need patience, reassurance and a gentler approach.

My philosophy is simple: never sacrifice a dog’s comfort for a hairstyle.

I want every groom to be beautiful, but I also want the dog leaving my care to be happy and relaxed.

It’s why I love combining modern grooming techniques with beautiful professional products and a more luxurious, thoughtful approach to coat and skin care.

And Now… Beautiful Salou

After a life that has taken me from the stages of London, across the Atlantic to Canada, into the world of professional grooming and as far as Malaysia to perfect my craft, my next chapter brings me to Salou.

And it feels like the perfect place to begin something new.

I want to bring a little of everything I have learned along the way — creativity, experience, international inspiration and, above all, a genuine love of dogs — to my clients here in Spain.

My hope is that visiting the salon feels a little different.

Because whether I’m standing under the lights on a stage or behind a grooming table with a pair of scissors in my hand, I suppose I’ve always loved the same thing:

creating something beautiful.
